12 and 6

The boys celebrated their birthdays with friends yesterday. We reserved the game room at church. Everyone had a good time. There were two cakes...both ice cream cakes made by my mother. Shaun wanted butterscotch and Jordan chose chocolate. We also had pizza. I felt guilty because everything has been so crazy around here and it seemed as if their party was thrown together. Then a little later, during the birthday song, I looked around at all of our friends and family and almost cried. My boys are so loved. There are so many people who care about them.

I was able to relax after that little emotional revelation.

I'm so grateful for my mother. The party wouldn't have happened without her. She ran my errands, made the cakes, and set everything up. She and my sister also served all the guests and helped with the clean up. They are truly amazing.

Here are some pictures from the big day.

Generation Praise at Kidpak

I just realized I never posted about Shaun singing with the older choir kids at Kidpak.

As usual, they were great. I'm so glad they get opportunities to show off their talents and worship.

Maybe I can figure out how to upload some pictures...I'm still blogging from my phone!

Results

I went back to the doctor today and heard good news.  God heard our prayers...my "tear" is healing!  Last week it was 4 centimeters long and today it was down to 3 centimeters.  The doctor was even more optimistic than he was last week!
Before the ultrasound, the doctor couldn't find the baby's heart beat.  Very scary, especially since the dopplar picked it up two weeks ago.  We heard it loud and clear on the ultrasound, though.
Thank you, Lord!
I was kind of surprised.  I was actually thinking I'd get the "all clear" today, But Dr C wasn't surprised at all.  He said he wasn't expecting the tear to be completely better.  So I guess I'm on target.
Until I am completely healed, my activity is still limited.  This is harder than I thougt it would be.  I'm so grateful for my friends and family.  They've cooked, watched my kids, and organized my house.  Don't know where we'd be without 'em!
